Family

Meet the hawk.  Completely his idea.

I suspect that several Dad’s are wishing they could pull this off, me included.

    Hi Ty,

Here I am doing some late night surfing, starting off on one site and ended up here at your blog.

    Go figure.

    You know how that works.

    Well regarding your son’s “do.”

I have to tell you it was about two years ago that my now 19 year old son adopted that very “do” your son is sporting in the photo shot you have there.

    And well…

he used to man the sound board at church and “sure nuf” my son would show up in his Sunday best sporting his “hawk.”

Oh yeah…my husband just kind of grinned and thought, “K, just a phase…he’ll move on soon enough.”

    And he did.

We never did give in to the temptation to go in and give him a big lecture about, “Ummm….look here sonny boy. You’re embarrassing the heck out us. Could you just like, not, wear that “do” to church?!”

Nah..we took the patient approach and let it just run it’s course.

Now he’s got a real conservative cut doing a full time job as a leasing manager.

    Thanks for the memories Ty.

HAHAHA that is an awesome pic!

Was surfing around and came accross your blog, started skimming like I usually do and the pic grabbed my eye.

I was 13 when I got my first hawk, had to have it done by a friend during a sleepover because my mother would never allow it.

I ended up getting grounded for a month :( but it was worth it!

anyhow, just had to comment. This took me back and made my day.
